Conditions of Use

Johnson Flooring Workmanship Warranty

Johnson Flooring guarantees its workmanship. We install and finish floors according to NWFA standards whenever possible. If the workmanship on your floors is substandard, Johnson Flooring will screen and re-coat or sand and re-finish your floors (decision is solely at our discretion). Warrantee is good for 1 year from the date of the application of the final coat of finish.

Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty does not cover scratches or any type of damage that occurs after the floors have been finished. This warranty does not cover squeaks or any type of fault caused by unlevel or “soft” subfloors or floor joists. This warranty does not cover “cupping” or “crowning” or any type of moisture problem, seasonal or otherwise. This warranty is void if HVAC is not continually operating in the work area from the time the flooring is delivered to the site, or if there is a plumbing leak or any other leak that allows water to penetrate the floor. Johnson Flooring will not be liable for any type of construction or moving damage or any other type of damage the floor sustains after installation. These warranties exclude and will not pay consequential or incidental damages associated with any warranty claim. Johnson Flooring will not pay costs associated with relocation during the repair process such as hotel, meals, or moving and storage of furniture. This limitation does not apply to claims for personal injury. Some states do not allow limits on warranties, or on remedies for breach in certain transactions. In such states, the limits in this paragraph may not apply to you.

All materials are covered only under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, if any. There are no other warranties, express or implied, of merchantability or fitness for a general or particular purpose, and Johnson Flooring shall not be liable under any circumstances for incidental, special or consequential damages, such as lost sales or profits.

Since we do not manufacture materials, Johnson Flooring does not provide a material warranty, but some manufacturers of the products that we install do provide one.

Claims must be filed within the coverage period, and information verifying the date of purchase may be required. Johnson Flooring reserves the right to have a designated Johnson Flooring representative inspect the floors and remove samples for technical analysis.

If you need to file a claim under this warranty, first contact Johnson Flooring. Any and all disputes arising out of the purchase of Johnson Flooring products or this warranty shall be subject to mandatory and binding arbitration in Nashville, Tennessee, pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any trials by jury are expressly waived.
